Ruled by the Great Warlock, a tyrant with an iron fist, the dwarven kingdom of Lenzaka has remained unchanged for centuries. In mines overflowing with precious metals and jewels, the dwarves value one thing more than any other – jade, their holy stone. Instead of gods, the dwarves worship the greatest wonder of the world – a single piece of jade in the shape of an arch – Zaka’taang, discovered millenia ago and carved slowly over the course of hundreds of years until its beauty was unrivaled, located in the city of. It is said to be the gateway to the world of the dead, and the dwarves believe that the arch intercepts the soul of any dwarf, so that it houses the mind and spirit of every dwarf who has died since it was discovered. It is colossal – over 1000ft high and 750ft wide.
Dwarven society is split into two tiers – the gold dwarves who work as miners or farmers, and the jade dwarves, artisans, and bureaucrats. The warlocks who rule over the society recruit members from among the jade dwarves. The dwarves also have a number of monastic orders, dedicated to the elevation of the self to become as jadelike as possible through asceticism and self punishment – like the process of cutting and polishing stones.
